Good Morning Church! Good to be here in the house of our Lord. Let us pray together before we begin, shall we? Last month, the Egyptian team won the African cup of nations, after a month or so of very tough competitions with other teams across Africa. I am sure many of you have watched it, especially those of you with some link to Egypt. Moreover, if you have not watched the game, you might have heard about it from somebody, who got excited about the Egyptian victory.
Sometimes after the Egyptian team won, I went to a gas station here in Beirut to fill up my car with petrol, and a man, who worked at the gas station happily, told me with thump up, “Egypt number one in Africa.” I said, what do you mean man? What do you mean by saying that Egypt is number one in Africa? It did not take long before I realized that the man was talking about the Egyptian victory from the African Cup of Nations.
